And… just like that, Christmas and New Years came and are already over.
I hope that you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with all of your loved ones and drank good drinks and ate delicious food. Wow, that was 20 days ago!
One of my goals for this 2020 year is to get back into writing and write a ton more blog posts. I tend not to set “New Year Goals“, just because I feel bad about myself when I don’t keep up with them. I would rather just add more activities into my life when I have a solid routine in place and feel like I can handle new goals. I have been so sick for the last little while and just haven’t been able to do the things that I enjoy. But that needs to change! I am all healthy right now (fingers crossed!), so time to bust out those writing goals.
So starting January 1st, I set up my daily writing journal with thirty-one days of prompts. I just took a random list off Pinterest and wrote down all of the question prompts for the month with the date included. Some of the topics include:
- Write something you learned from a movie you have watched recently.
- Write a letter to someone who was close to you and passed away.
- Write about a place you would love to live in.
- Write about your childhood hero.
- Write about what you think a newborn thinks about the world when they are first born.
The writing prompts have been okay. I can admit that I have fallen a few days behind, but I am determined to catch up. I have given myself a 15 minute period of time within my day to just write. I just need to stick to that. Something else that helps me is using my Happy Planner, keeping myself accountable. This way, I will get back into writing and therefore writing more blog posts.
